Mandy Shearn doing yoga
  • Founder & Director

Mandy believes yoga is a powerful path to deep healing: body, mind & spirit. This ancient practice found Mandy at a crucial time in her life, whilst burning the corporate wheels & neglecting her health, & she realised after one magical class this soothing art was her path. The embodiment of breathwork, postures and meditation gave her space for self reflection & growth, and it changed her life. Educating herself under world-renowned yoga schools, she teaches from a deep well of knowledge and respect.

Mandy’s classes are filled with effervescence & joy. She is bright and playful, and invites all her students to find their own inner spark. Understanding that public classes don’t always support individual needs, she began Private Yoga to serve those requiring specialised focus. Mandy is dedicated to the holistic wellbeing of humanity, soon to complete her Bachelors of Psychotherapy & Counselling.

Nicolette (Atmanidhi) has a raw intensity that bubbles from the depths. There is an honesty & passion to her teaching, which is the alchemical gold forged from her own challenging transformation. She is bold, brave, and occasionally exacting, yet plays like a child and can hold space like the gentlest of mothers. Her love of movement and learning is infectious and deeply sincere…and that laugh!

She found yoga at 21 after a health crisis & with nearly 30 years practising & 12 years teaching under ‘rock star’ western yogis and traditional Indian Gurus, Nic has found her own modern yet rooted approach. She incorporates elements of Iyengar, Ashtanga, Oki/Ryoho, Hatha, Vinyasa, Classical, Integral, and Shadow Yoga along with shamanic, dance, and non-linear movements. Nicky’s classes will challenge you, nurture you, and sometimes release a giggle, as she seeks to connect you with your inner-tuition & the immense grace of your SELF

  • Senior Yoga Teacher

Leah has spent the last decade teaching yoga around the world: USA, the Middle East and Australia and has qualifications in pre and post natal, yin and restorative yoga from world renowned yoga schools. Her respectful and attentive instruction allows her students to feel completely at ease, deepening the experience the practice offers. Leah has the ability to teach to all levels and her naturally radiant, playful nature keeps the classes moving in an open, joyful flow.

Leah’s yoga life began in Singapore with an old, wise Indian teacher who gave her the guidance to go within and cultivate calm. She found yoga helped ‘lighten the load’ and allowed stillness in her busy world. She is currently undertaking university studies to continue work with the vulnerable in society both here and overseas

Lenell Armstrong doing yoga
  • Senior Yoga Teacher

Lenell’s’ ‘flowing style’ combines principles learned from her dancing background, along with 15 years of yoga practice, her own philosophy and life experience. It is important to Lenell to share skills, educate, help others enhance their own practice and enjoy the healing balance of mind and body through yoga and meditation. Lenell travels to continue her own education on the amazing structural diversity between bodies and to pass this understanding into her teaching. "My ambition is to help people feel better within themselves and to see smiles on their faces."

Like many, Lenell came to yoga for different reasons and found so much more. Like the promise she made to her Grandma as a young child, Lenell's motivation is to demonstrate her care for others through service. Lenell has completed her Thai Yoga Massage qualifications, which means her students receive extra care and amazing head massages.
